Social & Activities

There are far too many activities to mention here, so we’ve just included some of the highlights of each semester that are typically traditions of ours.

The ozarks

The Ozarks is an annual lake trip where each brother ususally brings along a date. We have recently started renting out a lodge at the Lake of the Ozarks, so it’s a great trip to kick off the start of fall. Also, having the trip early in the semester means perfect weather. It’s definitely one of the most anticipated events of the year!

The Freshman Project is an opportunity for the freshman class to bond. Every year, the freshman have the opportunity to create a project together as a class.  Examples of past projects have been community service projects, visiting another Theta Xi Chapter somewhere in the country, a custom Theta Xi decor addition for the chapter house, and much more. No one knows where they go or what their project will be until they have completed it, with the exception of the Leadership team and a few upper classmen selected to help or go with them.

Near the end of the semester, the guys take a break from studying to enjoy our Fall Formal. We also have our Founders Formal in the Spring as well, which takes place in April.

Every school year, we are involved in homecoming events and activities with other sororities and fraternities. We’ve always tried to make the best lawn displays every homecoming to show off our dedication to the cause.

Near the end of February, each District of Theta Xi meets and has a leadership conference. It’s hosted on a rotation basis with each chapter in our District. It’s a great time to meet brothers from other Chapters and gain new leadership skills. We usually stay at the host Chapter a couple nights and use our free time to enjoy a new city.

We partake in many competitive intramural sports and the house is always fully involved.
